William James Recruitment Run for Neonatal Support In just a matter of months, a dedicated team of fundraisers from Manchester-based legal recruitment experts William James Recruitment, will once again be taking on the iconic Great Manchester Run. They are hoping to raise vital funds to support Spoons Neonatal charity, as the charity marks ten years since it was founded to provide vital services in Greater Manchester. For the second year running, the staff from William James Recruitment have committed to take part in Manchester’s biggest running event in a quest to raise funds and awareness to help families with experience of neonatal care.  The firm’s directors, Paul Wingfield and Laura Pagan, have first-hand experience of neonatal care, and received support from Spoons charity when their son Ethan was born 6 weeks prematurely. The family experienced the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with a stay in NICU, and the challenges faced afterwards, and wanted to show support for Spoons as a way to help other families going through a similar situation. On the support she received, Laura said:
The support we received was invaluable and it was comforting to know that we weren’t alone.
Reflecting on the team’s motivation to get involved in the 2025 Great Manchester Run again, CEO, Paul said:
The decision to support Spoons is a very easy one for us. We know first-hand that Spoons’ services have a transformative impact for families going through neonatal care. We want to do what we can to help Spoons raise vital funds and awareness, so that more families and babies can benefit from their expertise. The whole team at William James Recruitment will be getting involved again by running on 18th May, and hosting a race day reception for the charity. We had such a fun day last year and we can’t wait to support again for 2025 when the charity marks its 10th anniversary.
